This guide covers only the essential path to your first connection. You do not need to understand protocol parameters first or enter every route manually. After creating your account and completing the order, get the subscription from the account dashboard and let the client read the configuration. Protocol basics, routing rules, DNS checks, and complex troubleshooting are covered in the Troubleshooting Handbook; common account, speed, and billing questions are answered in the FAQ.
ACCOUNT
Create an account and open the account dashboard
Start by opening the VPNHG account creation page. The form uses a username and password and does not require an email address. Use the username to sign in to the account dashboard later, and use the password to protect the account. Before submitting, check that the details are correct and save your login information in a password manager you control. After submission, the page will open the account dashboard or prompt you to sign in with the username and password you just set.
After signing in, check whether the account overview is visible. It is normal not to have a plan yet, and the subscription section may not have a link to copy. Do not search other websites for so-called “public subscriptions,” and do not treat examples in this guide as real addresses. A real subscription is provided only in the VPNHG account dashboard and corresponds to an active service on the current account.
If you return to the sign-in page after creating the account, sign in with the username and password you just set. If the page says the username is already taken, return to the form and choose a memorable username that is not used by another service. After signing in, open the Plans section and choose a monthly subscription or data package based on how you expect to use it.
PLAN
Choose a plan and complete your order
Open the Plans section in the account dashboard. VPNHG monthly subscriptions are ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB; data resets monthly on the activation date. First estimate your main usage: for web browsing, documents, and AI Tools, focus on whether the monthly allowance is sufficient; for frequent Streaming or use across multiple devices, allow more data for video playback and system updates.
If your usage is irregular, compare the data packages instead. Packages are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB; they last until used and never expire. Monthly subscriptions and data packages are billed differently: the former follows a monthly reset cycle from the activation date, while the latter decreases with actual usage. Decide whether you need a fixed monthly allowance or prefer long-term usage-based data before opening the order confirmation page.
The order page lists the amount due and available payment methods. VPNHG supports Alipay, WeChat, and USDT. Check the plan name and amount, complete the payment, then return to the account dashboard and wait for the order status to update. Do not create the same order again. If the status does not change promptly after payment, refresh the order section first, then check the billing information in the FAQ. If it still cannot be confirmed, submit a ticket from the account dashboard with the order details.
When you upgrade a monthly subscription partway through the term, the price difference is prorated over the remaining days. For your first setup, there is no need to adjust complex options in advance; letting the current order activate normally makes the next steps easier to assess. All plans support unlimited simultaneously connected devices and include a 60-day no-questions-asked refund.
SUBSCRIPTION
Get the subscription link from the account dashboard
After the order becomes active, open the account overview in the account dashboard. Find the subscription section and choose Copy subscription link. This is not a regular webpage address; it lets the client read the route list, protocol settings, and future updates. Keep the page open after copying because you will need the link when importing it into the client.
The subscription link is tied to your account service and should not be posted in forums, group chats, or public documents. To use it on another device, sign in to the same account dashboard on that device and copy it again, or transfer it temporarily through a secure method you control. VPNHG supports unlimited simultaneously connected devices, but the subscription should still be used only with your own devices and use cases.
If you need to recognize the link format, use the address below as a visual example. It uses example.com, cannot connect to VPNHG, and will not return any routes:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
If the subscription entry is still missing from the account overview, first confirm that the order is active, then refresh the account dashboard. Do not construct a link by guessing the domain, username, or order number. If it still does not appear, see the Accounts and subscriptions section of the FAQ or submit a ticket from the account dashboard. Once you have the real subscription link, choose a client for your device.
CLIENT
Import the client for your platform
Open the client download section from the account dashboard and use the VPNHG client entry for your system. The client and subscription serve different purposes: the client establishes the connection, while the subscription supplies available routes. After installation, you do not need to enter server parameters one by one; find the subscription import option and paste the link you just copied.
After the first successful import, the client usually displays a set of region or route names. If you see only an empty configuration, run Update subscription or Refresh configuration once and check that the link is complete. The following sections cover Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. Menu names may differ, but the sequence remains the same.
WINDOWS
Windows import
Choose Windows in the client download section of the account dashboard and get the VPNHG client for that system. After installing and launching it, open the subscription, configuration, or profile page and choose an option such as Import from URL. Paste the complete subscription link copied from the account dashboard, give the configuration a recognizable name, and save it.
After saving, update the configuration and wait for the region and route list to appear. Return to the client’s main screen, choose a route suited to your needs, and enable the system proxy or connection switch. Confirm any network permission request shown by the system. Once the client shows Connected, do not change routing or protocol settings immediately; continue with the connection verification steps below first.
MACOS
macOS import
Choose the macOS client entry in the account dashboard and launch the app from the Applications list after installation. The first launch may ask you to confirm the app source or add a network configuration; follow the macOS system prompts. Open the client’s subscription management page, choose Add remote subscription or Import from URL, and paste the subscription link from the account dashboard.
After importing, update the configuration once and confirm that the route names appear. Return to the status page, choose a route, and connect. If the system asks to allow a VPN configuration, confirm it and wait for Connected to appear in the menu bar or client. After the connection is established, keep the default rules and verify that your browser and common apps work normally before making further changes.
ANDROID
Android import
Sign in to the account dashboard on your mobile device, open the client download section, and choose Android. After installing the client, open the subscription page and tap Add. Choose URL or Remote subscription as the import method. Press and hold the input field to paste the subscription link, check that there are no extra spaces at either end, then save and update.
When the route list appears, select a route and tap Connect. Android will show a system confirmation dialog for establishing a VPN connection; confirm it, and a connection indicator will usually appear in the status bar. To prevent the system from stopping the client too soon in the background, check the background operation permission as prompted by the client. Settings paths vary widely between devices, so this page does not cover specific models. If the connection drops frequently, continue with the mobile section of the Troubleshooting Handbook.
IOS
iOS import
On an iPhone or iPad, open the client download section in the account dashboard and use the iOS entry provided on the page to get a compatible client. After installation, return to the account dashboard and copy the subscription link, then switch to the client. Open the subscription or configuration page, choose Add via URL, paste the link, and save and update it.
When you select a route and start the connection, iOS will request permission to add a VPN configuration and may require device verification. This is a normal system step for setting up the network configuration. Confirm it, wait for the client to show Connected, and then open a browser to verify the connection. To update routes later, return to the subscription page and update it; you do not need to delete and re-add the entire configuration.
VERIFY
Connect to a route and verify that it works
Choose a route in the client and start the connection. First check whether the client changes from Not connected to Connected. Then open a familiar website or app that previously required an international route, confirm that the home page loads and the sign-in flow continues, and try to open the content you actually need. The key test is not just the client switch; confirm that a real request can complete through the current route.
If the client shows Connected but webpages still fail to load, disconnect and reconnect the same route, then try another regional route. Fully quit and reopen the browser to prevent an old network connection from continuing to use the previous path. If the issue persists, determine whether all websites fail or only one app is affected: the former usually calls for checking the system proxy, network permissions, or DNS, while the latter is better investigated through app routing and the selected region.
For the first connection, use the client’s default rules temporarily. Changing protocols, proxy mode, or DNS too early can make the source of a problem unclear. Once the default configuration works, adjust settings one at a time for your apps. For Streaming, choose a route marked as supporting the relevant platform. For ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude, prefer the route category intended for AI Tools in the client.
Post-connection check sequence
- Confirm that the client clearly shows Connected and that the system has no pending network permission prompt.
- Open a browser and load the service you actually need to access. Check that the page, images, and sign-in flow all work correctly.
- Open a commonly used app as well and confirm that the browser and app produce consistent results, rather than testing only one program.
- When changing routes, disconnect first, switch routes, reconnect, and verify the connection again.
SUPPORT
What to record when something goes wrong
If the connection still does not work after following the steps, do not repeatedly delete the account, order, or subscription. Record the device system, the client page currently open, connection status, selected region, the exact error message, and whether the issue is constant or affects only one website. When taking screenshots, hide the subscription link and account details, but keep the complete error message and its location visible.
The troubleshooting paths differ for a connection that fails completely, a connection that works but cannot load webpages, slow speeds, congestion during peak hours, frequent disconnections, failed subscription updates, an app that does not use the proxy, background disconnections on mobile, and DNS issues. Use the Troubleshooting Handbook to investigate by symptom; for accounts, orders, refunds, and plan rules, check the FAQ first.
If you need support, submit a ticket from the account dashboard and include the steps you have already tried. Clearly state whether the client shows Connected and which services are affected; this is easier to diagnose than simply writing “it does not work.” You do not need to include the full subscription link or password in the ticket.
